I wanted to take a moment and let everyone know that Medic 51 and several other EMS Blogs writers (as well as websites such as Reddit and Wikipedia) will have their sites “blacked out” tomorrow to protest SOPA and PIPA. These bills before Congress threaten to place harsh restrictions on online freedom and opens up the possibility of censorship. I encourage you to contact your representatives and tell them to vote no on these bills. If passed these bills would undermine freedoms that we hold dear.
I know that I enjoy being able to share my thoughts here. Please don’t allow the government to take that right away from us.
Let’s tell Congress that we will not allow this to happen.
